Have you worked in the live event , motion picture and/or performing arts industry? Have you been leading a team and managing budgets for at least 3-5+ years? Do you like the thought of overseeing not-for-profit programs, services and strategic initiatives with a wide scope of influence to support an entire industry and its workforce? Actsafe Safety Association has a mission of preventing workplace injuries, illness and deaths in BC's arts and entertainment industry, is halfway through a five-year strategic plan (2023–2027) and is expanding the team. We are recruiting for a new and vital role of Senior Director Industry Health & Safety charged with ensuring our programs and services are world-class, industry-specific, and improve the health, safety, and wellbeing knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and behaviours of both employers and workers. The position oversees a department and manages a team of professionals, including safety advisors, contractors, and an administrative professional. We are looking for an experienced leader, with expert-level knowledge of OHS, a deep understanding of the BC arts and entertainment industry, excellent stakeholder relations abilities and foundational business acumen.
