Role Overview

We are looking to speak to a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage an office refurbishment and MEP upgrade project. This role requires a proactive leader with strong client management, stakeholder engagement, and PMO expertise. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining compliance with statutory codes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery, including cost, program, construction, quality, and risk management.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and track project progress.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory codes, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Office Refurbishment and MEP Upgrades

  • Oversee the refurbishment of office spaces, ensuring seamless integration of design and construction processes.
  • Manage MEP upgrade projects, ensuring that technical requirements and specifications are met.
  • Coordinate with design and engineering teams to optimize project outcomes.

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for client, ensuring their expectations are understood and met.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Facilitate regular project updates and meetings to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.

PMO Expertise

  • Implement and adhere to PMO processes and methodologies to ensure consistency and efficiency in project execution.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in project management, preferably in office refurbishment and MEP upgrades.
  • Proven expertise in cost, program, construction, quality, and risk management.
  • Strong understanding of statutory code compliance in Malaysia.
  • Experience managing and working within a PMO framework is essential.
  • Exceptional client and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design and construction processes.
  • Availability to start immediately or within 1 month.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical preferred, or a related field 
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
