Tasks

Bookkeeping and Associated Processes

  1. Day-to-day full service bookkeeping for small to medium-sized businesses.
  2. Following bookkeeping policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with New Zealand legal requirements.
  3. Preparation of Client monthly reports in Xero and any forecasting systems.
  4. Reconciliation of client entered data.
  5. Preparing and filing GST/PAYE returns.
  6. Xero and Hubdoc set ups for clients.
  7. Support for our senior bookkeeper and the New Zealand based accountants and team.
  8. Monitoring for variances from the projected time budget.
  9. Assisting in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices.
  10. Preliminary checks to ensure complete client year end information has been provided, before accountants start preparation.
  11. Administration related to accounts that have been prepared by accountants.

Other Project Work

  1. Preparation of Client budgets and cashflows.
  2. Client Xero journal posting as required.
  3. Conversions/integrations into Xero completed as required.
  4. Create Loom Help videos as required.
  5. Provide support for the Xero suite of products.
  6. Setting up and maintenance of PSLP Xero & Payroll templates and Client training process and documentation.
  7. Other projects as required.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

  1. Minimum 5 years New Zealand bookkeeping experience.
  2. Xero certified with minimum 5 years experience in the Xero suite of products.
  3. Payroll skills across a range of software.
