Tasks
Bookkeeping and Associated Processes
- Day-to-day full service bookkeeping for small to medium-sized businesses.
- Following bookkeeping policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with New Zealand legal requirements.
- Preparation of Client monthly reports in Xero and any forecasting systems.
- Reconciliation of client entered data.
- Preparing and filing GST/PAYE returns.
- Xero and Hubdoc set ups for clients.
- Support for our senior bookkeeper and the New Zealand based accountants and team.
- Monitoring for variances from the projected time budget.
- Assisting in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices.
- Preliminary checks to ensure complete client year end information has been provided, before accountants start preparation.
- Administration related to accounts that have been prepared by accountants.
Other Project Work
- Preparation of Client budgets and cashflows.
- Client Xero journal posting as required.
- Conversions/integrations into Xero completed as required.
- Create Loom Help videos as required.
- Provide support for the Xero suite of products.
- Setting up and maintenance of PSLP Xero & Payroll templates and Client training process and documentation.
- Other projects as required.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
- Minimum 5 years New Zealand bookkeeping experience.
- Xero certified with minimum 5 years experience in the Xero suite of products.
- Payroll skills across a range of software.
