Job details

The D.E.Shaw group seeks a detail-oriented and creative collaborator with well-developed communication and project management skills to join the Investor Relations team in our Hong Kong or Singapore offices. This role involves exposure to many areas of the firm and our trading strategies. It may eventually entail additional responsibilities, including marketing, managing investor relationships, and overseeing portions of operational processes. It offers the opportunity to work in an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging environment. What you’ll do day-to-day Your primary responsibilities will include working with RMs to cultivate relationships, providing timely and accurate responses to inbound requests, keeping investors informed about firm and strategy developments, and maintaining the data and operational infrastructure behind these efforts. You’ll play an important role in the management of longer-term projects, including designing and maintaining robust product development and prospecting processes, while coordinating with members of Investor Relations and other groups. You’ll become well-versed in financial concepts, capital markets, and the firm’s investment capabilities while developing a deep understanding of our clients and prospects, their businesses, and their relationships with the firm. Who we’re looking for A bachelor’s degree or higher is required. Candidates should have impressive written and verbal communication skills, excellent analytical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and a demonstrated record of intellectual achievement. We seek applicants who have a curiosity about financial markets and a willingness to develop their understanding of financial concepts and terminology. Significant experience with Excel is useful but not required. Proficiency in a regional language, such as Japanese, Korean, and/or Mandarin, is a substantial plus but not required. At the D.E.Shaw group, we believe the diversity of our employees is core to our strength and success. We are committed to supporting our people in work and in life, which is why we offer benefits such as a family planning and surrogacy program and a charitable gift match to all full-time employees. Additionally, our staff-led affinity groups are pillars of our community, helping to celebrate diversity, promote leadership and development opportunities, and facilitate inclusive mentorship. Members and allies organize a wide range of educational and social programming, from expert talks to film festivals. The members of the D.E.Shaw group do not discriminate in employment matters on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, pregnancy, national origin, age, military service eligibility, veteran status, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, caregiver status, or any other category protected by law. We are committed to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and are eager to hear from individuals having a wide range of backgrounds and personal characteristics. #J-18808-Ljbffr
