ABOUT THIS ROLE: Excelerate seeks an experienced and skilled Director Operations to join our team in Singapore and take on the responsibility to ensure safe, reliable, cost-effective and environmentally responsible operations and maintenance of the MLNG and SLNG Terminals in Bangladesh and the EETL Terminal in Pakistan. The selected candidate will provide customer support to ensure the utmost satisfaction to our project partners. He / she will support the commercial department with the development of new projects in the region. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following activities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions: Provide leadership and direction to all Operations Activities in the Region. Ability to lead local and remote teams. Provide Operations experience to commercial development activities. Maintain successful performance of FSRUs, Port Service Vessels, and key service providers in the Region, through management of maintenance programs and adherence to proper operating procedures. Manage contract deliverables, including timely reporting and related customer interfaces. Represent Excelerate’s interests in issues with local authorities and other stakeholders. Support yearly budgeting and ensure operations are conducted by pre-established spending protocols. Identify and implement continuous improvement programs in consultation with corporate office. Assume first-line incident response in support of the corporate crisis management team. Provide leadership and direction to all Shipmanagement Activities in the Region. Review and manage budgets for the vessels in cooperation with the technical and vessel managers. In cooperation with Supply Chain and keeping challenging importation processes into account, carefully plan the delivery of spare parts and stores for the FSRU’s to ensure uninterrupted operations, in cooperation with the technical and vessel managers. Ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective FSRU operations and availability of all FSRU capacities. Ensure timely approvals, reviews and archiving all relevant Risk Assessments, relevant Management of Change processes and crewing issues. Ensure vessels are ready at all times for SIRE inspections and any other third-party audits or inspections, including diligence of fleet spares and inventory control. Ensure timely, accurate and thorough updates in the maintenance system, allowing close follow-up of maintenance progress and requirements, as well as audit preparedness. Achieve industry-wide best standards for vessel operations, dry-docking preparations and execution, repairs and performance. Prepare and conduct regular vessel audits and tracking of observations and incident investigations. Work with VP – Asia Pacific in developing the company’s strategy to grow its FSRU business in APAC including fundamental analysis of the sector and the LNG industry at large. Support the coordination of project development activities between the APAC business unit with other functional departments around the globe – Technical, Operations, Finance, Tax, Legal, and Environmental - to ensure objectives and needs of each group are met by the Business Unit. Support business development in developing clear and concise presentation materials for senior management for the purpose of communicating project designs, costs, and economics. Develop EE APAC’s “brand”, building on EE's Global brand and the overall strategy. Extensive international travel may be required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage operations and maintenance team members in various locations. ABOUT YOU: Master / Chief Officer / Chief Engineer / Second Engineer (Steam and/or Motor) Certificate of Competency with sea service on LNG tankers in a senior role is preferred. Preferably 18 months of service in a senior position on an LNG tanker and/or petroleum tanker. Shore-side experience in a leadership role within the energy / shipping industry is essential. FSRU on board service and/or shore-side support are preferred. In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations including SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ISPS, MLC. Experience with the NSE planned maintenance system and SAP is preferred. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage the operations and maintenance teams and help create an inclusive and efficient working environment. A strong commitment to safety and the ability to lead by example during ship visits. Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with diverse stakeholders and convey complex information clearly. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Willing to travel abroad around 20 % of the time. Position requires ability to be ‘on call’ including nights and weekends. #J-18808-Ljbffr
