- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify new trends, opportunities, and emerging technologies in the media and entertainment sector (e.g., digital media, OTT platforms, content creation)
- Competitive Intelligence: Monitor the competitive landscape, analyze market shifts, and propose strategies to differentiate the company's offerings
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term business development strategies that align with the company's vision, goals, and Vision 2030 objectives
- Partnership Development: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with local and international media companies, production houses, digital platforms, and government entities
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business leads within the media, entertainment, and broadcasting sectors
- Pitching & Proposals: Lead the development and presentation of proposals and pitches to prospective clients and partners
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including media buyers, advertisers, content creators, and distributors
- Negotiation & Closing: Drive business negotiations, ensuring that all terms are favorable for the company while aligning with industry standards and local regulations
- Revenue Generation: Ensure the company achieves its revenue targets by identifying high-value business opportunities in advertising, content distribution, media rights, and partnerships
- Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities while nurturing relationships with existing clients and partners
- Revenue Diversification: Identify and implement new revenue streams, such as licensing, syndication, branded content, or subscription models
- Cost Control: Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure that business development activities are within budget while maximizing profitability
- Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and providing exceptional service
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with industry leaders, government bodies, and media authorities to stay updated on industry regulations and trends
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the creative, marketing, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of business strategies and projects
- Brand Awareness: Assist in building and enhancing the company's brand presence in the market through effective partnerships and business ventures
- Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to design campaigns and initiatives that increase brand visibility, promote services, and drive lead generation
- Media Relations: Foster relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to promote the company's achievements, content, and strategic partnerships
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about local media laws and regulations, ensuring that all business development efforts comply with Saudi media laws and Vision 2030 initiatives
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities, revenue forecasts, partnership opportunities, and market conditions to senior management
- KPI Management: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of business development efforts and adjust strategies as needed
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Media Studies, or related fields
- 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, with a strong focus on the media, entertainment, or broadcasting industries
- Proven track record of successful business acquisition, partnership development, and client relationship management
- Experience in the Saudi market or the Gulf region is highly advantageous, with an understanding of local media regulations, business culture, and market dynamics
- Knowledge of Vision 2030 initiatives and their impact on the media and entertainment sectors
- Business Development & Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate high-value deals and partnerships while ensuring win-win outcomes
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture and design strategies that foster long-term growth and profitability
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of business metrics, financial forecasting, and profit-and-loss management
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to present complex ideas and strategies clearly to both internal and external stakeholders
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, media executives, and government entities
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Ability to resolve conflicts and find solutions to challenges that arise during negotiations or project execution
