The British International School Riyadh (BISR) is an extremely well-regarded not-for-profit, co-educational school in the Middle East, catering for students aged 3-18 across seven campuses, providing high-quality education to the expatriate community since 1979. BISR is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and as a British School Overseas (BSO). The school follows the English curriculum, enriched by the local and international context. Learning is holistic, supported by a broad enrichment programme, including extra-curricular activities, student leadership, service learning, and residential trips. 'Al Hamra re: imagined' is our new project to reinvigorate the existing Al Hamra campus. Performing Arts Teacher - Whole School

We seek a lively, dynamic Teacher of Performing Arts to join our team of hard-working and well-motivated professionals. The incumbent will work collaboratively and imaginatively with the team to develop the curriculum and provide outstanding learning experiences for our students. The successful applicant will need to have exemplary classroom practice in upper primary and senior school; demonstrable experience of target setting for students and use of student data to feedback and track progress; and a commitment to the existing vision and wider life of the school. Any experience teaching GCSE, A-level, or BTECs in related fields will be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will:

Be innovative, creative, enthusiastic, highly motivated and learning-focused, with a strong track record of excellent classroom practice and pastoral care.
Be committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences underpinned by a clear understanding of how learning is developed, where students are motivated and equipped to become lifelong learners.
Use high-quality assessment and feedback strategies to ensure students make good progress with their learning.
Create a positive learning climate, supporting each student's holistic development, with a strong emphasis on well-being in an intercultural context.
Have excellent interpersonal skills, high levels of emotional intelligence, and a good sense of humour; enabling them to collaborate effectively.
Fully support the school's Mission, Vision and REACH values.
Go the extra mile for students, contributing to the wider life of the school, including the broad co-curricular programme and community events.
Have a UK or UK-recognised teaching qualification.
