Job Title: Senior HSE Engineer Location: KSA Join Us! We combine AtkinsRéalis project management expertise and Hitachi Energy’s deep technological knowledge to create a company dedicated to substations – we are Linxon! The duty of the HSE Advisor/Specialist/Officer is to act and operatively support the Project Manager as expert and partner by planning, supervision, ensuring and reporting of appropriate activities with regards to incident prevention, effective monitoring (pro-active & re-active) and continuous improvements over the entire Linxon Business Process. Importance is the authority to intervene at any stage in the project, if proceedings impact targeted results negatively. What will you do?

  • Act as the HSE focal point to site, project, and management including during both routine progress meetings and emergent issue resolution.
  • Develop and implement Project HSE Plan in line with project contractual requirements and maintain it throughout the project life cycle.
  • Contribute to and/or plan and execute Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance and related projects. Develop and report on project objectives.
  • Represent the HSE function to current and prospective customers.
  • Maintain required HSE records and develop and present routine HSE progress reports.
  • Maintain awareness of developments and legislation that impact assigned functions.
  • Lead accident investigations to ensure that root-cause analysis is appropriately conducted, and corrective actions address the causes.
  • Participate and support analysis of incident trends and provide recommendations for preventative and improvement actions.
  • Conduct project site visits and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of HSE processes and assist in taking the necessary steps to close gaps in execution.
  • Facilitate and direct HSE best practices to ensure continuous improvement and instill a world-class culture.
  • Provide advice, support, and training where necessary to management and workforce to achieve HSE objectives and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in the identification, analysis, and development of controls to eliminate or minimize occupational hazards at project and service locations.
  • Provide summary of lessons learned feedback to HSE Manager to support further process improvements initiatives.
Experience, Education and other Required:
  • At least 5 to 7 years of work experience in HSE Advisor/Specialist/Officer background with good knowledge of EPC works, Power Substations, Renewables projects of different size, complexity and contractual types.
  • Proven track record of management of large-scale, multimillion-dollar projects.
  • Experience in handling multiple contractors and leading the project HSE Team within the projects.
  • Construction HSE experience including execution of site preparation, demolition, installation, and commissioning scopes.
  • Knowledge and experience in electrical substation construction.
  • High comfort level with digitized management tools.
