Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team Management Lead, mentor, and manage a team of marine service executives and coordinators. Allocate resources effectively and ensure team members meet performance objectives. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities. Operational Oversight Oversee daily marine operations, including vessel scheduling, port clearances, and service arrangements. Ensure seamless coordination with port authorities, agents, and vendors to meet operational demands. Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency. Client and Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction and resolving any escalated issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, port authorities, and service providers. Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth and service improvement. Regulatory Compliance and Documentation Ensure compliance with international and local maritime regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Oversee the preparation and submission of all required shipping and operational documentation. Conduct regular audits to ensure documentation accuracy and adherence to standards. Cost and Budget Management Develop, manage, and monitor the department’s budget to ensure cost efficiency. Analyze operational costs and implement strategies to optimize spending without compromising service quality. Provide regular financial and operational performance reports to senior management. Strategic Planning and Improvement Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs). Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge. Collaborate with senior management to align marine operations with company goals and strategies. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in marine services or shipping operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, port operations, and logistics. Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating diverse teams. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
