Turner Lovell is working as the exclusive partner to an international organisation offering highly specialised power systems consulting services to source a Principal Consultant in Transmission and Distribution Networks to join their team in the GCC. This is an important role, coming about through the business doubling in size in the region over the last year, and can potentially be based in Riyadh or in Dubai. You will leverage your consulting expertise and work collaboratively with the local team of experts to develop innovative solutions and successfully deliver projects for network operators in the region. The role encompasses the following key responsibilities:
  • Engage with clients to evaluate their strategy and operational processes, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement solutions in partnership with local and HQ teams, utilizing the company’s specialized knowledge and industry best practices.

  • Oversee a portfolio of network-related projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and delivering on the company’s strategic vision.
  • Manage project financials to guarantee both short-term profitability and long-term sustainability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to foster a collaborative environment, ensuring smooth execution across all phases of project delivery.
This role combines consulting expertise with a hands-on approach to project delivery and client engagement. To be successful, you should have:
  • A master’s degree (or equivalent) with a good general understanding of electrical assets and their strategic implications in business contexts.
  • An ability to consider a technical problem in its broader context, with a keen awareness of economic and financial impacts.
  • Strong competency in analysing complex data sets, identifying trends, and synthesizing actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective business solutions for different clients.
  • A European experience, where you either have studied in Europe or have a professional experience at a European Grid operator.
You will receive an attractive salary and package reflective of your experience. I am keen to have an initial discussion with anyone who feels this could potentially be of interest.
