Executive Role: Vice President of Engineering
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the entire engineering department, reporting directly to the CEO and CTO. This executive role requires strategic planning, technical expertise, and exceptional leadership skills.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of game features using Unity3D, overseeing the full lifecycle of game development from concept to deployment.
- Play a pivotal role in software architecture and planning, ensuring robust, scalable, and innovative solutions that align with technological and business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and department heads to ensure that technical plans integrate with broader company strategies and client requirements.
- Oversee the optimization of game performance across various platforms, implementing best practices for maintaining high standards of quality and functionality.
- Direct cross-functional teams to integrate APIs, libraries, and new technologies into game projects.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by maintaining current knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and technologies.
Requirements:
- At least ten years of professional experience in software and/or game development, with substantial expertise working with Unity.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing complex development projects involving multiple technology stacks and integration of backend technologies.
- Proficient in C# and a deep understanding of APIs, libraries, and advanced programming techniques.
- Strong grasp of the latest gaming trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise with code versioning tools and familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a track record of identifying and resolving complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, capable of leading and motivating teams, and engaging with senior management and stakeholders.
