Design Engineer

Position Summary : Design and Development of Parts, Components, Equipment as per API specification. Reporting To : Manager Design and Development Working Days : 6 days. Job Description : Responsibilities:-

• Preparation of Design Packages including Input, Output, Review, Verification, Validation, Final Review and Approval in accordance with applicable API, ASME and any other international code and standards.
• Preparation & Updating of part drawings, Assembly drawings and Bill of Material (B.O.M).
• Control of part drawings, Assembly drawings and Bill of Material (B.O.M).
• Preparation & Maintain Engineering documents (B.O.M, Drawings or Specifications) issue records.
• Preparation & Maintaining of Master list of Drawings, Design Packages and other Master list.
• Preparation & Maintaining of Design Changes, ECN and ECR records.
• Ensure the independent drafting of parts and components considering the manufacturing capabilities, GD&T controls as necessary.
• Compiling, evaluating, correlating and analysing product data.
• Coordinating work with other department personnel’s.
• Verification of Design package and Design QMS documents.

• Accountable for the error free design and development activities assigned.
• Accountable for External & Internal audits Ex. API Auditing for Design and Development function.
• Accountable for Engineering Changes.

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering stream
• 2-5 Years of Design experience in Manufacturing, Fabrication, Assembly and Testing experience from Oil and Gas Industry is must
• Expert in Solid works, Auto CAD or any other engineering software is must.
• Work experience from Oil and Gas Equipment manufacturing industry is most preferred.
• API Spec 6A, 16A, 16C, 20E & 20F Product Knowledge is must preferred.
• Familiarity with QMS procedures, standards, specifications, guides and departmental procedures is an added advantage.

• Good communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
• Proficient in 2D & 3D CAD software’s.
• Expert in MS Office and its other tools.
• Great computational and spatial ability.
• Problem solving ability.
