Resident Dental Officer (Department of Oral Medicine and Pathology and Special Needs Dentistry) Pay: Competitive Employment type: Full-Time Job Description Req#: 208649 Employment Type: 1x Temporary Part Time (Up to 12 Months) Position Classification: Dental Officer Level 1 Remuneration: $48.44 - $63.19 per hour Hours Per Week: 25.5 Requisition ID: REQ360297 Where you'll be working: Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing: To provide a high standard of general oral health care, including oral health education, to eligible patients at facilities across Western Sydney Local Health District. The Dental Officer may be required to provide the same services for short periods of time on rotation to other Local Health Districts. Registration: Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Dentist. Selection Criteria: Demonstrated sound clinical and diagnostic skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including the general public. A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventative / population health approach to patient care. A demonstrated ability to work within a large team and independently. A demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
