A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced procurement leader to join a dynamic organisation as Head of Procurement, reporting directly to the General Manager. This role offers the chance to shape the procurement function and contribute significantly to overall business success within the NSW market. You will lead a team of category managers and play a pivotal role in driving initiatives. Key responsibilities: Develop, negotiate and implement strategies aligned with business objectives. Lead and mentor a team of category managers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture. Negotiate and manage key vendor relationships, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships. Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and performance. Mitigate risk and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and provide innovative procurement solutions. Contribute to the senior management team as the SME for Procurement and Sourcing, providing strategic input and delivering holistic organisational outcomes. About You: Proven leadership experience in procurement. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and run successful sourcing strategies. Strong attention to detail, financial acumen and problem-solving skills. Advanced ability to build and maintain strong relationships with executive internal and external stakeholders. Experience with procurement software (Ariba experience is a plus). A proactive, results-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
