Regional Sales Representative – MDA (Quebec) Position Type Full Time Salaried Compensation This position offers a complete benefit package, bonus, retirement plan, health, vision and dental family benefits About The Position This is not a 9 to 5, office-based role, it is a position for a person with an entrepreneurial spirt that loves to have fun at work. We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive and develop relationships with strategic accounts consisting of key luxury appliance retailers, designers and the building community across Ontario and Quebec. The position will report to and receive established Key Performance targets form the Head of Sales – MDA/General Manager. This position will develop relationships with strategic accounts primarily consisting of regional and as needed national luxury retailers of appliances. Will act as an advocate and resource to the designers, within the territory. The Regional Sales Manager will be focused on ensuring that the product offering, and program is tailored to the accounts needs, but is also an active member of the national sales team identifying gaps and developing solutions. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify new sales channels and partners
- Manage a group of Key Accounts (in a geographic area)
- Coordinate all sales activities, including business reviews and monthly sales forecasts.
- Foster positive relationships with key trade partners at all organizational levels.
- Build market presence by locating, developing, relationships with key industry players such as designers, developers and cabinetry trades.
- Develop and aid in the implementation of programs which improve customer experience and build brand loyalty.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of company products, positioning and competitive environment to maintain brand agility and aspirations.
- Create and deliver presentations on the company strategy and products tailored to meet the trade partners’ objectives.
- Advocate for trade and industry partners, addressing concerns and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Meet and/or exceed key performance targets as well as brand presence.
- Support ongoing training and product knowledge to trade and industry partners.
- Attend and represent SMEG Canada at trade partners and industry events as a brand ambassador and advocate
- Actively support colleagues and have a “roll-up the sleeves” attitude
- Responsible to help managing colleagues’ territories when coverage is needed
- Other duties as needed.
- Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Field Representative or Sales Manager in Major domestic appliances.
- Ability to solve problems and build strong relationships with key partners.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand trends and perform market analysis.
- Superior verbal and written communication, independent time management, and organizational skills
- Effective presentation and sales skills
- Time-management expertise with the confidence to say "No" when necessary
- Schedule flexibility to work evening and weekends on infrequent occasions to support trade activities.
- Expectations to travel 40-60% of the time.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, own vehicle for regular account visits.
- Need to have the ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- French speaking an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher or relevant combined experience.
- 7+ years of relatable knowledge to sell in the premium luxury brand landscape of Major domestic appliances.
