Consultant Psychiatrist – Forensic Mental Health Location: Alice Springs, NTSalary Package: Up to $347,549 (inclusive of allowances) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a Mental Health, Alcohol, and Other Drugs team in the Central Australia region. This role offers a rare opportunity to work across both forensic and community mental health settings in one of the most unique and culturally rich parts of Australia. This position is ideal for a specialist who is passionate about making a difference in remote and Indigenous health while contributing to teaching and training programs for medical students and psychiatry registrars. This position comes with an attractive remuneration package and benefits, including: Specialist Clinician: $248,765 - $304,012 Senior Specialist Clinician: $314,354 - $347,549 Additional allowances: Professional Training Allowance: $21,603 - $27,967 Second Roster Allowance: $41,433 Private Practice Allowance: $103,538 - $145,005 Salary packaging benefits: $9,010 6 weeks annual leave + 2 weeks professional development leave Superannuation and leave loading Relocation and repatriation reimbursement About the Location Alice Springs is a vibrant community surrounded by stunning desert landscapes and national parks. What You’ll Bring Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent. Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
