The Role North Star: Build long-term, profitable and collaborative relationships with clients to ensure they trust Mint as business advisors that can drive their businesses forward with our progressive creative work. You will lead the day to day client relationship and direct agency staff in development and management of project scopes, budgets and resources to deliver work with excellence. The role will require cross functional work across various levels of client stakeholders and others, as needed. You will be representing Mint as a trusted partner and thought leader. The Account Director will be responsible for the following:
- Nurture a strong team environment by establishing a positive relationship with your direct reports' day-to-day workflow and career development
- Manage all Finances for a given client group or department.
- High Client interaction focused on long term strategy partnership and program development.
- In charge of national and international client relationships
- Lead responsible for smooth integration between multiple disciplines
- Driving agency business (P&L) as well as ensuring the strategies and work delivers against KPIs
- Pave the way for progressive and audacious creative work to be bought by and partnered on with clients
- Driving new business initiatives, leader of the pitch group for number of clients
- Gatekeeper and shepherd of creative excellence for the group of clients in charge
- Serve as the primary or senior contact for clients
- Develop and oversee account teams’ performance, ensuring quality work is done, efficient processes are in place, and client requests are handled in a timely fashion
- Budget planning, forecasting and management
- Manage client relationships, provide strategic counsel and ensure ongoing results
- Create relationships at higher level contacts with the focus on developing and growing existing business.
- Learn all aspects of clients’ businesses to educate them on all inhouse services
- Weekly status updates on program results/personnel, client program reviews end/mid program
- Make recommendations in the final program report geared to future business opportunities
- Develop proposals and pitches
- Proactively identify problems and develop solutions
- Analyze business results and report on key insights, and develop action plans to address opportunities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously; while maintaining a strong attention to detail
- 7-10 years of experience in account planning and client management.
- Expertise in Experiential Marketing discipline a must
- Experience working in an integrated marketing setting - internally and externally - a must
- Creative, self-managed, results oriented problem solver with strong leadership to manage and motivate others
- Assertive, creative, team player with proven sense of urgency
- Strong written and oral communication skill: presentation skills, speaking ability and interpersonal skills
- Ability to sell new business both organic and net new
- Demonstrate experience working on highly creative campaigns (portfolio or case study)
- Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously and influence associates for results
- Ability to manage, mentor and develop talent
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to analyze and report results that drive back to program objectives
