Nature Reserve Operations Management Senior Specialist Job

Date: Jan 7, 2025 Location: AlUla, SA Company: The Royal Commission for AlUla Job Purpose: To lead the implementation of nature reserve logistics related to daily operations and services, and to oversee and ensure the smooth operation of nature reserves. To support the implementation of related nature reserve plans, policies, procedures, and instructions required for sustainability, safety, protection, and operation of AlUla’s Nature Reserves. Key Accountabilities:
  1. Lead on nature reserve logistics, in terms of planning, implementation, and monitoring & reporting, with regard to ranger stations (water, sewerage, fuel/electricity, and internet), and ranger vehicles (deployment logistics, fuel/refuelling, and vehicle maintenance).
  2. Assist in the implementation of plans for the management of all AlUla’s nature reserves.
  3. Manage and monitor all preventive and emergency programs and initiatives that are required for maintaining and protecting the reserves’ wildlife and natural heritage.
  4. Monitor the implementation of projects, events, and programs that are applied at the reserve sites and ensure compliance and the provision of support services required to implement these projects and events.
  5. Provide continuous coordination and consultation to support the implementation of all guidelines and policies related to the management and protection of AlUla’s nature reserves.
  6. Oversee routine repairs and maintenance of all nature reserve properties and infrastructure to ensure staff and visitor health, safety, and effective reserve operation.
  7. Undertake specific tasks including fire management, pest animal control, weed control, and control of pollution in adherence with all laws and policies.
  8. Prepare accurate and timely reports regarding nature reserves activities and risks to ensure management is up-to-date with all project developments.
  9. Perform any other job-related duties required by the direct manager.
