About Us: Fraser Valley Group is expanding its operations in Vancouver, BC, and we’re seeking a seasoned Utility Locating Technician to spearhead our brand-new division. What You’ll Do: - Lead Field Operations: Manage utility locating projects using advanced GPR and EM technologies, ensuring precision and safety. - Troubleshoot and Adapt: Adjust equipment settings for varying ground conditions (clay, sand, rock, wet soils) and resolve technical issues on-site. - Client Relationships: Communicate findings professionally, deliver top-tier service, and build trust with clients. - Detailed Reporting: Produce clear, professional reports with visuals and data tailored to client needs. - Division Growth: Drive business development, mentor future team members, and help establish our division as a leader in the field. What We’re Looking For: Technical Expertise: - 5+ years’ experience in utility locating with advanced GPR and EM technologies. - Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize equipment in diverse field conditions. Certifications: - Preferred: RULT (Registered Utility Locator Technician) or equivalent certification. Leadership Skills: - A strong communicator who thrives in a team environment and builds client trust. - A self-starter who can operate independently and deliver results. Licensing & Legal: - Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. - Legal authorization to work in Canada (Immigration lawyer assistance available for exceptional candidates).
