Position Title: Arabic Curriculum Specialist & Facilitator Location: Wadala (Mumbai) or Remote Position Type: Full-time About Us: SpEd@home, established in September 2020, provides remedial and occupational therapy support for children with special needs across the globe. With a vision of ensuring equal opportunities for children with special needs, we have developed a Learning Management System (LMS) tailored for children aged 6-13 with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Position Summary: This role combines the responsibilities of designing an Arabic curriculum for the SPEED LMS, overseeing content creation, conducting sessions for children with special needs, and facilitating meetings with Arabic-speaking clients. The ideal candidate will blend pedagogical expertise with strong interpersonal and communication skills, acting as both a curriculum designer and a key representative for Arabic-speaking stakeholders. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development:
- Design an Arabic curriculum tailored to children aged 6-13 with special needs.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to align the curriculum with SPEED LMS standards.
- Integrate creative, engaging, and inclusive learning methodologies.
- Content Creation and Oversight:
- Oversee the creation of Arabic educational content, ensuring quality and relevance.
- Utilize diverse techniques such as storytelling, multimedia, and interactive tasks.
- Session Facilitation:
- Conduct personalized sessions with children based on their Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs).
- Adapt teaching methods to address varied intellectual and developmental needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a facilitator during presentations and meetings with Arabic-speaking clients.
- Represent the organization’s mission and services effectively in Arabic-speaking regions.
- Progress Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, preparing detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of Arabic content and sessions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (both written and verbal).
- 3-5 years of experience in curriculum development and/or teaching children with special needs.
- Familiarity with current pedagogies, inclusive education practices, and technology integration.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
- Proficiency with MS Office and LMS platforms; adaptability to new technologies.
- Patience, creativity, and a deep understanding of children’s diverse learning needs.
- Prior experience in working with Arabic-speaking clients or stakeholders.
- Knowledge of special needs education frameworks such as IEPs.
