GM IT - Front Office Developer

Position Purpose

Within Global Markets IT Risk and P&L branch, you will join one of the development team. The goal of the team is to provide and implement solutions to support systems for Risk, P&L, Financial Resources and Referential data management for Global Markets APAC activities. The role includes development, support and project management tasks. The position is based in Hong Kong on the trading floor.  Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities of the team are : 

• To respond to Front Office requests by implementing new applications and tools. 
• To provide support for Trading toolchain. 
• To constantly seek to improve and optimize existing systems. 
• To participate to the transformation and migration projects. 
• To maintain and ensure the stability of the current platform. 

In order to complete these tasks, you will have : 

• To learn the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 
• To collaborate closely with traders, quants and other IT teams to better comprehend business needs and transform them into high-quality solutions. 
• To emphasis on your communication skills with users and within the team. 

Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science. 
• Required: Python, Windows Server. 
• Desirable: some experience with Excel and/or Golang. 
• Strong analytical skills. 
• Self-starter, able to work under own initiative. 
• Confidence in high pressure environment. 

Specific Qualifications Valued

• Financial markets knowledge (Financial products, Valuation, Greeks). 
• Work experience in front office environment.
