Project Development Manager - Germany

Emeren Group Ltd (NYSE: SOL) is a leading global solar project developer, owner, and operator with a pipeline of projects and IPP assets totaling over 3 GW, as well as a storage pipeline of over 10 GWh across Europe, North America, and Asia. The Company focuses on solar power project development, construction management and project financing services with local professional teams in more than 10 countries around the world. We are looking for a new Project Developer join our team in Berlin (remote options available) to support our growing operations in Germany. Project Development Manager Germany The purpose of this position is to support the achievement of the company’s strategy to grow the project pipeline and to support the projects from identification through the whole process. As our new colleague you will: • Identify large scale high potential solar and battery storage projects; • Assist throughout identification, evaluation, and assessment of solar projects for investment; • Deal with authorities to get all necessary permission to build and operate solar and battery storage plants; • Communicate and take care with our engineers for the technical design of each plant; • Manage relationships with local authorities, utilities, and the regulators; • Interact with legal, tax, technical, and insurance advisors; •Control projects until ready-to-build status and also participating in the auction and sale process. Ideally you have: •4-5 years’ experience in energy sector or project related environment (M&A experience is an advantage)• Bachelor’s degree in economics, Technical, Law, or relatable area. • Familiarity with the authorization process for zoning, environmental/ building codes, and land/ grid connection conditions; • Ability to assess energy projects from an economical and legal perspective; • Ability to work independently and proactively approach stakeholders; • Excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ERP systems; • Driving License (Category B)• Fluency in German language (at least C1)• Preferred location: Berlin or nearby (not a must but an advantage).
