Description - External Day in the life of a Service Engineer The Service Engineer role will be instrumental in delivering first class and value-added service offers to our current and future customers within the Germany and the rest of the world. This position will give you the opportunity to develop your career as a highly qualified expert in the field of condition monitoring and predictive maintenance, whilst adding additional skill sets such as laser alignment. Your main role will involve on-site data collection, remote analysis, installation and a wide range of practical/theoretical training for clients. You will have a chance to work for across Many industries, with various types of machinery and take the opportunity to work offshore and internationally by supporting the wider service community, which will provide you with extensive professional experience and unique technical knowledge. Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site service duties, including vibration measurements, static and dynamic balancing, laser alignment, geometrical measurements, Paralign roll alignment and installation of Condition Monitoring systems, preparing reports and other necessary documentation.
  • Deliver high-level technical support for both colleagues and customers.
  • Complete FRS equipment Installations where required at the customer site.
  • Perform remote analysis and prepare official reports and necessary documentation
  • Play a leading role in driving team engagement and acting as a role model in delivering service excellence.
  • Prepare and participate in Demo sessions either F2F or via Teams.
  • Provide practical and theoretical product training for customers covering HW & SW.
  • Continuously develop training material and offers to enhance the customer experience.
  • Support sustainable business by representing the company in a professional manner, strengthening and building strong relationships with customers and identifying their further needs.
Your team: The service team which You will join is located in Germany. We have around 50 people across EMEA region. We are working in international environment, in a large, reputable, innovative company. Our experienced international team of engineers and technicians is always happy to welcome refreshing new colleagues who can expand our horizons. During your service trips, your new colleagues will be happy to tell you about their experiences with the biggest and most exciting machines in the world. Experience:
  • University Degree (Bachelor or Master) - preferred fields: Mechanical, Power, electronics/electrical.
  • High capabilities in condition monitoring, vibration analysis and reliability, with Mobius or BINDT qualifications level II or higher preferred.
  • Experience of Alignment and Balancing principles preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment such as electrical and mechanical plants, electric motors, pumps, turbines and maintenance/machine servicing.
  • Full driving license.
  • Passport.
  • High level of flexibility and availability for work away from home (travelling abroad or working offshore will be required).
  • Self-reliance, resourcefulness, attention to detail and good work organization.

  • Works well within the team or alone with a can-do and pro-active attitude, with strong communication skills. That builds strong relationships with others.
  • An ability to inspire trust and followership in others through, passion in their beliefs and active drive.
  • Willingness to take on new tasks and support the wider team, where applicable.
