Position Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in hydropower systems or Industrialngineering to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for hydropower projects, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing electrical systems for hydropower projects, including power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Conducting feasibility studies and site assessments to determine project viability and electrical requirements.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with civil engineering designs.
- Performing risk assessments and troubleshooting electrical issues during project implementation.
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Providing technical expertise and support to project managers and clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on hydropower systems.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools.
- Experience with regulatory requirements and permitting processes for hydropower projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Professional engineering designation (P.Eng) in British Columbia is preferred.
- 110-150k range but open to negotiation
