Signal Engineer

Context: To strengthen the IKOS team in Canada we are looking for Signaling Design Engineer to work on large-scale railway projects. Responsibilities:

• Transform customer requirements into conceptual designs and prepare documentation by conducting several studies, operational analysis and/or simulations.
• Perform operational analyses, simulations, and technical trade-offs to evaluate design options.
• Develop signaling design components such as
• Block design
• Interlocking control
• Safe braking models
• Performance analysis
• Support bids and proposals, including gap analysis, architecture design, and simulation .
• Present technical designs and reports to customers and internal teams clearly and concisely.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and signaling principles.
• Collaborate with various teams to resolve design issues .
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Prepare regular status reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Computer), Computer Science, or a related technical engineering field.
• Experience in developing signaling engineering preferred.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and of the related V-Cycle.
• Excellent technical writing , communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with tools like DOORS and similar software
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
