Position Purpose The COO (Chief Operating Officer) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring smooth and efficient business functions. This includes managing the cleaning and housekeeping operations, developing standard procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maximizing operational efficiency. The COO also works closely with senior executives on strategic planning, identifying new markets, business opportunities, and implementing technologies to enhance efficiency. Additionally, the COO handles financial management within the cleaning and housekeeping functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. People management is another key responsibility, involving hiring, training, coaching, and promoting diversity and inclusion within the team. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the company's operations, ensuring operation efficiency is best in the market, helping lead to profitable sites. Ensure company assets are protected, and registered and stock takes done. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Analyse financial statements and other key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize financial performance. Lead the development and execution of the company's strategic plan, including market expansion, new service offerings, and operational efficiencies. Work closely with the CEO to manage the company's budget and financial resources. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and industry partners. Develop and manage a high-performing team of managers and staff, including hiring, training, and performance management. Develop and implement systems for measuring and improving customer satisfaction and loyalty. Ensure that the company maintains a high level of quality in its cleaning services and customer service. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field is generally required. Extensive experience in senior management roles (ideally 7 years and above), particularly in operational, financial, or managerial roles in the housekeeping industry. Proven track record in leading teams, managing large-scale operations, and achieving strategic business goals. Strong leadership and management skills to oversee various departments and teams. Expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and operational efficiency. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with other executives, stakeholders, and employees. In-depth understanding of business operations, including supply chain management, budgeting, and process optimization. Ability to drive change management, solve complex problems, and make key decisions under pressure.
