Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer for a 14-month remote contract role based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Start Date : 01/04/2025 End Date : 31/03/2026 Duration: 12 months Work Hours: 7.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 08: 15 – 16: 30 Alberta time Ministry: Technology and Innovation Location : 2ND FL - J G O'DONOGHUE BLDG (BEDJG00203), 7000 - 113 ST, Edmonton, Alberta, CAN, T6H 5T6 Location of Work - The Full Stack Developer will primarily work remotely but may need to attend meetings or work sessions in Edmonton with reasonable notice. Travel time and expenses to Edmonton will not be covered by the Province. - The Province may adjust the work arrangement with notice, consulting the Contractor and Developer, but retains final discretion. - Some travel within Alberta for field research and user interviews may be required. Travel arrangements for these purposes will be provided by the Province where possible. Must haves: - 5 years’ experience using source control, particularly Git, in collaborative software development. - 3 years’ experience with automated unit testing and integration testing. - 3 years’ experience with database technologies, including relational databases and alternatives. - 5 years’ experience working as a Full Stack Developer on complex software solutions in an agile team environment. - 3 years’ experience working on production applications using modern application frameworks and frontend JavaScript frameworks. Nice to Have - 2 years’ experience incrementally transforming existing legacy systems into modern digital services across multiple releases. - 2 years’ experience with at least one or more from the following tech stack: Frontend: Angular, React, Vue.Js. Backend: C# .Net Core, Node.Js (NestJS, Express), Python (Django). - 2 years’ experience with design patterns and their application and software architecture considerations. - 2 years’ experience with Government of Alberta development guidelines and principles. - 2 years’ experience working with CI/CD pipelines. - 2 years’ experience working with teams that also apply UX design, service design, design thinking, or human-centered design approache
