Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India (work from office, 6 days a week) Job Type: Full-time Experience Level: Lead Level (Web3 & Blockchain) Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced QA Lead - Network Security with a strong background in quality assurance and network security. In this role, you will design and enforce security testing protocols, mentor a team of QA engineers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of security and quality. Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality, security, and continuous improvement.
• QA & Security Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive quality assurance and security testing strategy specifically for blockchain applications.
• Security Testing: Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing across applications and network infrastructures.
• Test Planning & Execution: Oversee the creation and execution of test plans targeting network security and blockchain functionalities.
• Automation of Security Tests: Manage automated testing frameworks, incorporating security, functionality, and regression testing.
• Defect Tracking & Resolution: Document, track, and prioritize defects, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, development, and security teams to align on security objectives and integrate QA testing throughout the development lifecycle.
• Metrics & Compliance: Define, measure, and analyze QA metrics and ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws and industry standards.

• Network Security Expertise: Strong knowledge of network security protocols, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability assessment methodologies.
• Advanced QA Methodologies: Proficiency in QA methodologies tailored to blockchain applications.
• Automation Testing: Expertise with automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
• Programming Skills: Familiarity with Python, Java, or JavaScript for developing and executing test scripts.
• Compliance Standards: Understanding of industry security standards such as OWASP and ISO 27001.

• Penetration Testing Tools: Proficiency with tools like Burp Suite and OWASP ZAP.
• Mobile & Web3 Security Testing: Experience with security testing on mobile platforms and Web3 applications.
• CI/CD Integration: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI, with a focus on embedding security testing within CI/CD pipelines.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications (Preferred): Certified Software Tester (CST), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and relevant blockchain/security certifications.
• Experience: 5+ years in Quality Assurance with a focus on network security, Web3, or fintech. Leadership experience is essential.
