Key Responsibilities : Test Framework Development
- Design and implement scalable and modular SiL and HiL testing environments for automotive systems, including powertrain, ADAS, body electronics, and infotainment.
- Develop automated testing frameworks and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure the integration of real-time simulation and emulation for comprehensive system testing.
- Define test strategies and methodologies for validating system functionality, performance, and safety.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish testing requirements, goals, and acceptance criteria.
- Create and manage test plans, test cases, and test scripts for SiL and HiL environments.
- Oversee the integration of software and hardware components into SiL and HiL test benches.
- Ensure accurate modeling of physical systems, including sensors, actuators, and control units.
- Validate and debug system behavior under simulated real-world conditions.
- Develop custom tools and scripts for automation and data analysis in SiL and HiL environments.
- Optimize existing tools and processes to improve testing throughput and reliability.
- Evaluate and integrate commercial testing tools and platforms, such as dSPACE, Vector, NI, or MathWorks.
- Ensure testing processes comply with automotive standards, such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, and AUTOSAR.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential issues during validation stages.
- Provide documentation and reporting on test coverage, results, and compliance metrics.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and system engineers, to resolve testing challenges.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in best practices for SiL and HiL testing.
- Act as the technical authority for testing methodologies and frameworks.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 13+ years of experience in automotive SiL/HiL testing or system validation.
- Expertise in simulation and modeling tools like MATLAB/Simulink, CarSim, or IPG CarMaker.
- Hands-on experience with test platforms such as dSPACE, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, or NI LabVIEW/TestStand.
- Strong knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and real-time systems.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, C, C++).
- Familiarity with ADAS/AD, EV systems, and other emerging automotive technologies.
- Experience with cloud-based simulation and remote testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of machine learning applications in testing environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
