Job Description: Analyst - Excel Modeling and Demand Forecasting (Life Sciences) Position Title: Analyst – Excel Modeling and Demand Forecasting ****Location: Bangalore or Gurugram for in-person one-month training. After training is complete, the resource can work remotely. Employment Type: Full-Time **** Only candidates who can join immediately will be considered.**** Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as an Analyst specializing in Excel modeling with experience or interest in demand forecasting . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Excel-based data analysis, modeling, and visualization, with the ability to support life sciences projects. Knowledge of demand forecasting methods and applications in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sectors is a plus. Key Responsibilities:
- Excel Modeling & Data Analysis
- Build, optimize, and maintain advanced Excel models for demand forecasting, financial analysis, and decision support.
- Perform data cleaning, integration, and analysis using Excel and other tools to support business needs.
- Use advanced Excel functions (e.g., Power Query, VBA, pivot tables) to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Demand Forecasting (Good to Have)
- Collaborate with project teams to develop demand forecasts for life sciences products, considering market trends, patient data, and treatment rates.
- Apply basic forecasting techniques like time-series analysis, regression models, or other statistical methods.
- Life Sciences Domain Knowledge
- Support projects related to market access, product launch planning, patient-based forecasting, and supply chain management in the life sciences sector.
- Understand and incorporate clinical, regulatory, and market dynamics into modeling and analysis.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including consultants, data scientists, and client stakeholders, to gather requirements and present insights.
- Prepare clear and concise presentations, dashboards, and reports based on model outputs.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Life Sciences, or related discipline).
- 2+ years of experience in Excel modeling, data analysis, or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., nested formulas, pivot tables, advanced functions).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in demand forecasting or exposure to forecasting methodologies.
- Familiarity with the life sciences industry , including pharmaceutical or healthcare projects.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
