Senior Manager – ICT Networks and Assets

The role will be responsible for the asset management, agreements and development of all Telecommunications and ICT assets (DUCC, Ducts, Chambers, POP’s, MMU’s). The role will work closely with the Utility Operations team together with the asset owners, where the equipment (ICT Network) are located. Job Responsibilities: Strategic Contribution
  • Assist in the management and implementation of a range of Telecommunications and ICT assets (DUCC, Ducts, Chambers, POP’s, MMU’s) across the destination.
  • Ensure project Implementation is aligned with the RGS’s project timeline and meets all the requirements of the business owners and stakeholders.
Leadership
  • Coordinate the activities of the system integration team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures.
  • Manage the team by setting priorities and objectives, managing performances, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals.
  • Serve as a role model to ensure employees’ awareness and commitment to RSG vision, mission, values, fundamentals, and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated human resources, and continuously improve performance.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
  • Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.
Safety, Quality & Environment
  • Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Qualification and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with Electrical/Mechanical/Telecommunication technology
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with at least one year as project lead/manager
Skills:
  • Management of Field Staff required to maintain the Telecommunications and ICT assets (DUCC, Ducts, Chambers, POP’s, MMU’s).
  • Experience managing Field Engineers.
  • Knowledge of networking and telecommunication skills is essential.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project Tool.
  • Should oversee all aspects of projects such as prepare project plan, align with stakeholders and organization project plan, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. PMP Certification would be added advantage.
  • Experience in handling vendors and partners, and establishing good relationships with stakeholders.
