PURPOSE: Trade Sales Manager, selling Abercrombie & Kent and Cox & Kings to UK – Midlands and North England based Travel Agents. The role is a homebased field sales role reporting to Head of Trade Sales UK. Responsible for the delivery of the travel trade revenue budget within territory, developing new sales and growing our presence within the travel agency community in the Midlands and North England. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work as part of a small geographically based team to deliver the Travel Trade revenue budget for A&K and C&K
- Develop relationships with key agents to maximise sales for the A&K Group
- Maximise trade partner revenues by understanding the agency customer base and match our products to the customer base
- Arrange for training and educational opportunities
- Organise and host FAM trips
- Develop marketing plans with key agents to maximise sales for the A&K Group
- Conduct sales call (min 16 per week) with agents in your given territory, sales activity logged in sales system
- Identify key trends and ensure A&K Group market presence is current
- Introduce new business within your sales territory
- Work closely with agency partners to identify growth opportunities.
- Act as an ambassador for both Abercrombie & Kent and Cox & Kings, providing exemplary customer service to our travel agents
- Attend Industry events, conferences and forums
- Negotiate commission levels with agents in accordance with management guidance
- 3+ years field sales experience. Travel industry sales experience preferred
- Ideally based in the Midlands/ North England
- Proven sales track record
- Excel/power BI skills, confident with data
- Strong communication skills, ability to present and engage audience
- Work effectively in a Global Matrix reporting organisation.
- Confident and engaging presenter
- Self-starter with ability to plan
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal/ communications skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and analytical skills required.
- Clean driving licence required
- Competitive salary plus commission or annual bonus plan (depending on role)
