Services cover the project life cycle from access and design through to build, install and service. About the role Service Stream is seeking a lawyer with 3-5 years’ PQE. Reporting to a senior member of the legal team, you will join a small, friendly, stable and collaborative legal team. In this broad-ranging in-house counsel role, you will provide legal advice to a range of stakeholders in relation to construction, infrastructure, project and corporate related matters including general commercial agreements, tenders, procurement and IT. You will also assist with governance and compliance requirements including modern slavery laws, privacy laws, SOPA and HSE. You will work alongside stakeholders across construction and engineering projects providing assistance with both front and back-end matters, advising on contractual and project delivery risks. You will provide training to the business on contract and dispute management matters as well as other legislative and regulatory changes impacting the business. The successful candidate will be mentored by excellent senior in-house lawyers. About you For this Legal Counsel role, experience in construction law, projects and/or infrastructure related matters is desirable, but not essential. Lawyers with strong contract law skills (including drafting) and commercial acumen should apply. Those with commercial or construction disputes experience will also be considered. Service Stream seeks a demonstrated solutions focused approach with a “best for business” attitude. You will bring an enthusiastic and pragmatic approach to the role and enjoy fostering strong working relationships across the business.
