You will be joining a bold team consisting of leading engineers, operators, and entrepreneurs hailing from companies that include Tesla, Apple, Google, SRAM, Ola Electric, Dott, LiveWire, Lucid, Bolt, Microsoft, and SafeBoda, among others. Zeno has raised capital from some of the world’s foremost mobility and climate investors, including Toyota Ventures and Lowercarbon Capital. The Role As Logistics Manager at Zeno, you will oversee all international shipping and the coordination of goods movement across China, India, and East Africa. This critical role ensures that Zeno’s supply chain operates seamlessly and efficiently, enabling the timely delivery of components and finished products to key markets. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, freight partners, and internal teams to optimize logistics operations while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations. What You Will Do
- Plan, organize, and manage the international shipping and movement of goods, including components, materials, and finished products, across China, India, and East Africa.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and freight partners to ensure smooth and timely transportation of goods, balancing cost, speed, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain efficient logistics processes, including shipment tracking, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery to destinations in Zeno’s key markets.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with logistics providers to optimize costs and improve service quality.
- Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, customs requirements, and import/export policies for each country.
- Monitor and manage logistics budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining service levels.
- Analyze and resolve logistical challenges, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures to avoid future disruptions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all logistics processes, shipments, and compliance activities for audit and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with Zeno’s engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to forecast demand and plan inventory movement to meet production and distribution needs.
- 5-8 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or international shipping, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industries.
- Proven track record in managing logistics operations across multiple countries, particularly in Asia and Africa.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in logistics management tools and software for tracking and optimizing shipments.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with experience managing relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.
- Passion for electric vehicles and sustainable transportation solutions.
- Experience dealing with electric vehicle supply chains in East Africa and India
- Knowledge of supply chain challenges unique to the electric vehicle industry.
- Exposure to lean logistics practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
