The group has engineering teams in India, UK & USA and production facilities in India & USA. Job Title: General Manager - Assembly Manufacturing Location: Faridabad Reports To: Managing Director Position Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our assembly manufacturing facility. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of quality products, meeting customer demands, and driving operational excellence. This role requires a strong leader with excellent business acumen, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: 1.Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, including assembly, quality control, supply chain, and inventory management.
  • Monitor and optimize production schedules to meet deadlines while maintaining product quality and cost efficiency.
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve productivity, reduce waste, and maximize resource utilization.
  • Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure a safe, compliant, and high-performing work environment.
2.Team Management and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of production managers, supervisors, and staff.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and drive professional development initiatives for all team members.
3.Financial Management:
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Analyze financial data to make informed decisions related to production processes, staffing, and equipment investments.
  • Ensure operations are aligned with financial goals, including profitability, cost reduction, and capital investment.
4.Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
  • Ensure that products meet industry standards and customer specifications by implementing robust quality control processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other quality-focused practices.
  • Address and resolve any production or quality issues that arise, maintaining high standards of product integrity.
5.Customer Focus and Supply Chain Management:
  • Work closely with sales, engineering, and customer service teams to understand customer requirements and ensure timely delivery of quality products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the procurement process and ensure effective management of raw materials and components.
6.Strategic Planning and Reporting:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the manufacturing business, including identifying new opportunities for expansion, cost reduction, and process improvements.
  • Prepare regular reports on production performance, financial status, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management.
  • Provide strategic input on product development and innovations based on market trends and customer feedback.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in the manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (preferably within assembly manufacturing).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality control, and supply chain management.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement initiatives, and managing large-scale operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, financial reports, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make critical decisions under pressure and navigate complex situations.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards in manufacturing environments.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in assembly line optimization and automation.
