Job Title: Business Development Executive Department: Reservations/Sales Working Liaison: Revenue Manager/Front Office/Sales Manager The Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown is a luxurious four-star hotel, gardens, and conference centre, located on its own grounds on the outskirts of Blanchardstown in Dublin 15. We are seeking a flexible part-time Business Development Executive with specific emphasis on developing conference, meetings, and events with bedroom business for this vibrant 4* hotel.
The Role:
Working in conjunction with the existing sales development team, your main responsibilities will be to research, identify, convert, and fully develop new business (Global and Local) for all segments of the business, with a particular focus on bedrooms, conference, and event sales ensuring budgeted sales are met and exceeded.- Meeting potential and existing clients and completing show arounds of the hotel facilities.
- Agreed number of sales calls, meetings both on-site and off-site visits.
- Relationship building with existing and new customers.
- Practicing excellent electronic communication and telephone etiquette in all communications in line with Company standards.
- Initiating sales drives, promotions, organizing and completing mailshots, etc., in conjunction with the business development team.
- Maximizing all sales opportunities and ensuring sales leads generated are actioned or referred according to departmental standards.
- Performing all necessary administration work in accordance with agreed timelines and standards.
- Assisting in compilation and implementation of annual sales & marketing plans.
- Salesforce software utilization and management: updating account information on the day per visit or meeting working with all software elements to maximize data and conversions.
The Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about direct selling in a professional high-end environment, an expert in price negotiation, with strong communication skills. Comfortable in developing long-term business relationships with both customers and colleagues.- Creative and innovative approach to generating business, with a friendly “can do” attitude to drive results across identified business segments.
- Strong customer-facing sales in a sales & marketing environment.
- Highly focused and target-driven individual.
- Relevant experience of 2 years is preferred.
- Hotel/Services Industry experience not essential.
- Well able to work in a busy environment as a team member and also on own initiative.
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Flexible working style.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- This is a primarily pro-active sales role.
- Efficient and highly organized in all areas, particularly time management and reporting.
