About the role The incumbent will be part of a larger team within the IFF department in providing seamless and customer-focused solutions to support the achievement of business objectives. What you will be doing Carrier Management Negotiate buying rates to ensure profitability of business Manage the purchasing performance tool within the Department Optimize profitability: Control of bookings through a cockpit, re-purchase when opportunities are identified Escalation points for final validation of DMP (BOLLORE rates approval platform) Work on yield improvement solutions Validation of input for tender bidding Establish guidelines for pricing and procurement in alignment to Middle Office direction Work closely with the sea freight planning team to define and formalize the booking instructions (Routing, Carrier, Schedule) according to customer’s constraints and MO Solutions’ strategy Perform cross-functional collaboration (Business Units, internal customer, and pricing) to meet with required information including: Transport mode, price, and transit time Monitor price movements and seasonal price fluctuations Analyze and report on monthly business performance (at GM meeting) Weekly report on vendor management and tasks activities to Head of Sea Freight Design solutions for new products/line by building product strategy with General Manager – Sales Support Vertical/KA managers in marketing/pricing evaluation with economic analyses Provide guidance and correct errors in the company’s internal pricing platform Conduct interviews and recruit junior staff Team Management Ensure and monitor team compliance to the Bollore’s Code of Conduct and Company’s regulations Ensure team understanding and implementation on Bollore’s Value in daily work behaviors Plan and monitor team performance including giving coaching and counselling needed to deliver expected outcomes Plan and monitor team development together with HR Division Ensure updated Job Description availability for the team by coordinating with HR Division Ensure all changes in Department/Section communicated properly to the team Provide support and expertise to MO Operations when needed (e.g. specific quotation requirement) The successful candidate Bachelor’s degree requirement with min. 10 years of Seafreight experience Minimum 5 years of experience in a fast-paced and dynamic multi-cultural MNC environment. Experience in Freight-forwarding or Logistics industry will be a plus. Understanding of margin (yield) management Good relations with carriers Resourceful, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure Good inter-personal skills, able to communicate precisely and effectively Motivated, driven, and result-oriented Able to work well in a team as well as independently Meticulous, analytical, and able to multi-task in a fast-moving environment Highly initiative Intermediate Access skill preferred Export Excel skills such as V-look up, macros, pivot tables, is statement, VBA, and ability to create complex formulas and models Good Command of written and spoken English CEVA Logistics is a vast global business of 110,000 employees, representing every race, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion or belief, nationality, and ethnicity.
