Job Purpose: The payroll implementation consultant ensures the successful implementation and support of PaySpace by Deel’s payroll solution for new and existing clients by analysing client requirements, configuring the system, migrating data, and ensuring accuracy. This senior role focuses on SMB and Mid-market clients with a headcount of up to 1000. The role requires a strong blend of UK payroll expertise, technical skills, project management skills, and the ability to engage with senior client stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities: Customer Excellence
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and design customized solutions that align with their goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Manage client relationships throughout the implementation lifecycle, addressing any concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Provide expert guidance and support during the implementation process, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Take accountability for service excellence and adhere to company work standards.
- Lead workshops at client sites, including engagements with senior/executive management.
- Analyse and document client requirements to design tailored solutions aligned with their goals.
- Configure the system based on client requirements and ensure accuracy in complex calculations, leveraging JavaScript where necessary.
- Migrate data from clients' current systems and balance payroll data.
- Distribute configuration and migration tasks across the team and ensure quality work.
- Ensure project milestones are met, follow standard implementation procedures, and provide user training.
- Provide support to new clients post-implementation until the handover to support or outsource departments.
- Ensure a smooth handover process to support teams.
- Stay updated on system functionality and assist the support and Managed service teams with queries.
- Mentor junior consultants on implementation processes and system functionality.
- Continuously improve implementation methodologies and processes to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Track and report on implementation progress, providing regular updates to clients and senior leadership.
- Work with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, customer success) to ensure seamless project execution.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK Payroll and HR legislation.
- At least 5 years of experience in payroll consulting or implementation.
- Prior experience implementing UK SaaS payroll solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver complex implementations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging senior client stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to mentor junior teammates.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
