You could be one of our 3000 committed team members who are up to the challenge.About the Role The Head of Performance will support the Director of Operations Modernisation and Performance in exceeding V/Line's service performance KPIs. This role involves leading a team of analytics and change management specialists to promote a high-performance culture through investigation, analysis, continuous improvement and reporting.Key Accountabilities include: Enterprise Performance Improvement: Develop and manage V/Line's Enterprise Performance Improvement Plan to meet SLA requirements and performance objectives. Operational Improvement Initiatives: Identify, develop, and implement short, medium and long-term operational performance improvement initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Department of Transport & Planning and Metro Trains Melbourne to drive performance improvements. Team Leadership: Lead a team focused on analytics and change management, ensuring daily performance readiness and creating a culture of excellence. Strategic Reporting and Analysis: Develop and administer a performance analytics and insights roadmap, using tools like Power BI to enhance business knowledge and reporting. Continuous Improvement and Risk Mitigation: Create strategies and solutions to mitigate risks, drive continuous improvement, and adopt best practices across infrastructure, assets, and operations. Technological Modernisation: Provide strategic advice and support for the modernisation of technological systems to enhance operational performance. About You You are a collaborative and constructive leader, capable of building strategic relationships and driving cultural change. You excel in partnering and consulting across the organisation and bring a well-rounded background in performance, analytics and continuous improvement.Our ideal candidate will possess the following: Extensive Operational Experience: Relevant experience in a similar senior position within rail or fast-paced customer operations is highly valued. Sector Knowledge: Strong understanding of the public transport sector and Victorian Government priorities is preferred. Project Management Skills: Proven experience in managing projects and leading complex change programs, including continuous improvement and change management frameworks. Communication Excellence: Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-level reports, presentations and business cases, and effectively manage analytical information and insights. Cultural Change Management: Demonstrated experience in managing and driving cultural change, with a focus on performance improvement and uplifting team capabilities. Presentation and Facilitation: Skilled in presenting and facilitating discussions with senior leadership teams, pulling together and reporting from a high business level.
