Lead DevOps Engineer
- Location: Derby/Nottingham
- Hybrid working (please note this is not a fully remote role)
- Permanent: good salary and package
- Lead and implement infrastructure automation initiatives using AWS services and modern DevOps practices
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other modern tools
- Architect and implement serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and event-driven architectures
- Oversee critical infrastructure across Linux and Windows Server environments
- Drive security best practices and ensure robust monitoring solutions
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and foster a culture of operational excellence
- Deep expertise in AWS services (Lambda, EC2, SQS) and cloud architecture
- Strong background in CI/CD implementation using tools like GitHub Actions, Backstage, or Jenkins
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
- Proficiency in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- Advanced scripting abilities in Python, Bash, and PowerShell
- Strong understanding of security best practices and IAM management
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
- Solid background in monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions
- Knowledge of configuration management tools and networking concepts
- Experience with high-volume time series data processing
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures using SQS, Kinesis, and SNS
- Background in configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
