We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and event spaces at Pialligo Estate . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, leadership, and event management, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. The General Manager will be responsible for managing staff, optimising operational efficiency, ensuring the highest level of service, and driving revenue growth for the restaurant and event venues. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Staff Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of restaurant and event staff. Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management for front-of-house, kitchen, and event staff. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and high morale. Operational Management: Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations of the venue. Oversee stock management, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain cost control and quality standards. Implement and enforce health, safety, and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Guest Experience: Uphold and exceed service standards to provide a high standard dining and event experience for all guests. Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner, maintaining positive relationships. Regularly engage with guests to gather feedback and enhance overall guest satisfaction. Develop and manage budgets, set financial goals, and track operational expenses to ensure profitability. Monitor sales, analyze financial performance, and implement strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs. Ensure proper handling of cash flow, payroll, and other financial transactions. Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to promote the event spaces for private events, corporate gatherings, and special occasions. Oversee event planning and coordination to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction. Develop pricing strategies and packages for events, and monitor sales to meet business targets. Marketing & Branding: Work with the marketing team to create and execute promotional campaigns to increase brand visibility and drive foot traffic. Ensure that the restaurant and event spaces maintain a premium and consistent brand image across all platforms. Leverage social media and other marketing channels to build and maintain a loyal customer base. Compliance & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety and labor laws. Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, customer feedback, and financial performance to senior management or ownership. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a high-end restaurant or event space environment. Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, P&L management, and cost control. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with restaurant POS systems, event software, and other management tools.
