We are looking for a creative and dynamic temporary Business Support Officer to join the office of the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner and support our vision: " Working with partners and the public to deliver safer, stronger communities in West Mercia". The core role of the PCC’s office is to ensure the voice of the public is reflected in policing. The PCC also allocates millions of pounds to community projects, victim services and crime prevention measures, and makes sure the police force has the funding it needs to deliver an efficient and effective service for the public. The PCC needs someone who’s got a passion for ensuring the public voice is heard and is ultimately used to better policing, someone who is creative, has good written skills, can identify risks and opportunities, and has got innovative ideas for improving the way in which communities are engaged with. If successful, you’ll be responsible for: developing and delivering communications via a number of platforms to support the PCC and the estate; producing and delivering campaigns; creating videos and podcasts; providing advice and support to the PCC; and carrying out public engagements. You are also supported and encouraged to work on your own initiative and help shape the focus.
- The Business Support Officer is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days office based.
