Management Accountant – Sustainable Drinks Scaleup Brand – London / Remote Harmonic is delighted to partner exclusively with a fast-growth sustainable drinks scaleup seeking a Management Accountant to join its team. The Role The Management Accountant will report directly to the Head of Finance, playing a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the finance function. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on delivering accurate monthly accounts, insightful reporting, and driving process improvements in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head of Finance to ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting.
- Prepare and post journals (depreciation, prepayments, accruals, etc.).
- Reconcile balance sheets and highlight any risks.
- Deliver management accounts with variance analysis and commentary.
- Enhance and document financial controls and processes.
- Support payroll processing alongside HR and the Head of Finance.
- Oversee Accounts Assistant activities, including:
- Maintaining debtor and creditor ledgers.
- Bank reconciliations and invoice processing.
- Ensuring accurate stock invoice matching.
- Assist with supplier payment runs, approvals, and cash flow management.
- Support the creation of regular business reports, including credit control, sales performance, and monthly financials.
- Contribute to key financial projects, including system upgrades and process optimization initiatives.
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (finalists also considered).
- Solid month-end closing experience within an SME.
- Knowledge of VAT, payroll, and statutory reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
- Experience with accounting systems like Xero.
- Costing or stock control experience.
- Background in a fast-growing SME, particularly within Food & Beverage / Retail / Cosmetics or Hospitality would be beneficial.
- Experience supporting system integrations or upgrades.
- Salary: £50,000–£55,000
