Lead / Senior Python developer - Full Remote - Contractor in USD

For an international project in Washington, we are urgently looking for a Senior Python Developer to work on application enhancement, development of new functionalities and supporting existing application. The candidate should have 6 years of Python & SQL experience. We are looking for a contractor, who is able to work 2 hours US (Washington) time. This position is long-term. Candidates need to be fluent in English. Profile:

• Master degree;
• +6 years of relevant experience as a Python developer;
• +3 years of hands-on team lead experience or team coordination experience in on-site and offsite projects;
• Strong development skills in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals;
• Experience with developing Azure Functions;
• Exposure to tools like Visual Studio Code;
• Good to have Service Bus, Data Factory & Flask, will be a plus;
• Scheduling using Python Script & scheduler;
• Knowledge of Dremio and Pyarrow;
• Hands-on experience with wide variety of data platforms such as Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server;
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure services and technologies, including VMs, storage, networking, security, and application services;
• Metadata definition and management via data catalogs, service catalogs, and stewardship tools such as Microsoft Purview;
• Knowledge of UNIX shell scripts is a plus;
• Test programming using automated testing frameworks, data validation and quality frameworks, and data lineage frameworks;
• Data ingest, validation, and enrichment pipeline design and implementation;
• Strong understanding of data pipelines; should be able to work with REST, SOAP, FTP, and ODBC;
• Proficiency in writing ANSI SQL queries;
• Knowledge of Oracle tools and technologies - Oracle 19c, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Loader;
• Knowledge of Business Objects, Power BI, Dremio is a plus;
• Fluent in English;
