Install Technician Based on the edge of Glasgow, Scotland, with travel to customer sites across the UK and Ireland. We are seeking an Install Technician to join a motivated and dynamic team based in company HQ just outside of Glasgow. This role requires good customer service skills and a willingness to travel to customer sites. Job Purpose The Install Technician will take full ownership of the installation process, ensuring efficient planning, communication, and execution to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Manage the entire install process, including planning and coordination with customers, account managers, and external contractors.
- Attend customer sites across the UK and Ireland to meet installation requirements.
- Maintain the install spreadsheet and act as the initial point of contact for X-ray equipment installation plans.
- Ensure Sales Orders are correctly set up and delivered to meet customer deadlines.
- Review and maintain work instructions and system setup process documentation.
- Update the SAP system with stock movements and activities.
- Communicate proactively with Account Managers and Customer Support to resolve delivery challenges.
- Manage stock movements and collaborate with the procurement team to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Support Account Manager requests for demo equipment and escalate additional loan/demo stock requirements as needed.
- Conduct ongoing reviews of the installation process to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Share knowledge to promote best practices across the team.
- Adhere to 5S principles for workplace organization.
- Support the CCT team with loan requests for service calls.
- Travel to customer sites across the UK and Ireland using a pool van.
- On the road approximately two weeks per month, with 3–4 overnight stays a month.
- A Category C driver’s license to drive the van is highly desirable due to the vehicle's requirements. Training for this license takes approximately six months, and a willingness to train is essential.
- Basic electrical skills are advantageous.
- Experience using hand tools is desired.
- A driver’s license for cars is essential. A Category C driver’s license for vans is highly desirable.
