The Process Controller is responsible for managing the movement of containers within the yard, ensuring equipment is positioned correctly and efficiently. They monitor real-time operations, minimize delays, and maintain communication between teams. The role also ensures safety and compliance with policies, while making sure containers are handled properly and equipment is available when needed. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assign and position equipment for movement of containers:

From vessel to stacking area
From stacking area to vessel
From gate to stacking area
From stacking area to examination area
From examination area to delivery area
Within delivery area

Monitor real-time movement of containers and equipment
Analyze and activate appropriate work queues
Minimize equipment dwell time by ensuring smooth flow of containers from equipment to tractor trailers and vice versa
Maintain radio communication with each piece of assigned equipment at all times
Monitor percentage of containers that were not grounded to planned locations and ensure corrective action is taken
Initiate proper communication and act as a focal point for live operations, using all tools available including VHF radios
Ensure yard locations are updated after grounding of containers
Check availability of equipment with Staff & Equipment control department
Responsible for safety & discipline in the work area
Ensure compliance with Safe Work Practices
Ensure compliance with HSE policy

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

3 to 5 years of experience in container terminal operating system and Dispatch Operations
Preferable experience as Yard and Equipment in container port terminals
Education: Bachelor's degree preferable
Reading and writing skills in English language
Basic reading and writing skills in Arabic language is preferred
