InterContinental Doha The City is looking for a Executive Assistant Manager i/c of Sales & Marketing to join our team. The Executive Assistant Manager i/c of Sales & Marketing is responsible for the daily sales efforts and is responsible for the overall positioning of the hotel, brand communication and the development of customers for the property including Rooms, Dining Outlets, and Events. In addition, they are responsible for rental revenue, yield strategies, implementation, market performance and meeting budget, forecast, and optimal business mix targets. - Help the General Manager in the development, implementation and monitoring of financial and operational plans for the hotel to ensure optimum guest satisfaction, sales potential and profitability.
- Make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the hotel and/or company and brand loyalty.
- Direct operational departments' everyday activities, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers.
- Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues - recognise good performance.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management.
- Interact with guests and outside contacts including, current and potential clients, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers, competitors local community members.
- Make sure the hotel delivers the highest level of guest satisfaction through superb guest services and amenities.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with the hotel’s or owner’s policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. Maintain relations with outside contacts.
- Act as public relations representative to raise awareness of hotel and brand in local community.
- Prepares Sales Reports and annual Sales & Marketing Plan.
- Creates effective Sales Programs that will increase awareness and positive perception of the Hotel, its activities, culinary services, and personnel.
- Knowledge of the travel industry, current market trends and economic factors.
- Ability to access, understand and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
- Assist GM in preparation of the marketing, advertising, sales plans, programs and annual budget; manages within approved plans and budgets.
- Develop rates, group sales deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management.
- Ability to effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomacy with internal and external customers and staff in all situations.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the hotel property and continuously perform essential job functions.
- Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community.
- Direct and manage all group, transient, and banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel.
- Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reports, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- May participate in the Manager on Duty Program.
- Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field.
- Strong understanding/experience of Hotel Operations in a multi-cultural environment.
- Self-starter, with the ability to understand the business and link them to the department agenda.
- High level of drive for results; adaptable and flexible with the ability to build relationships.
- Strong planning and organizing skills with great attention to details.
- Excellent guest relations, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Arabic speaking is an advantage, but not a must.
