Dubai, United Arab Emirates | Posted on 13/01/2025 As a Compliance Officer and MLRO for Deriv Capital Contracts and Currencies LLC, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our organisation against financial crimes and regulatory breaches. Based in the vibrant Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), you will ensure our adherence to SCA regulations and implement robust anti-money laundering (AML) measures. This crucial role demands strategic thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and proactive engagement with regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive AML policies and procedures tailored to the company’s operations.
  2. Monitor continuously updates and changes in SCA regulations and UAE financial laws to keep the company in full compliance.
  3. Conduct regular reviews and updates of these policies to ensure they remain effective and up-to-date.
  4. Conduct thorough risk assessments and internal audits to identify potential compliance risks.
  5. Implement effective controls and corrective actions to manage and mitigate AML risks.
  6. Monitor compliance issues and AML activities within the organisation.
  7. Provide ongoing training and support to staff on compliance and AML matters, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
  8. Act as the primary point of contact with the SCA and other regulatory bodies.
  9. Handle client complaints related to the UAE license, ensuring all concerns are resolved efficiently and professionally.

Must Haves

  1. A university degree in CAMS or a similar certification.
  2. 10+ years of experience in a compliance role in financial services and SCA approved.
  3. Good understanding of Corporate law, AML Federal Degree laws, SCA Regulations, and other relevant legislation in the jurisdiction.
  4. Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies in the UAE.
  5. Solid understanding of legal requirements and controls.
  6. Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

  1. Work experience in a fintech company.
