About The Role As a Senior Auditor at Forvis Mazars, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, contributing to our mission of providing top-tier audit and advisory services, in Gatineau. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with our firm, playing a key role in conducting audit engagements for a diverse clientele. This dynamic position will offer you exciting opportunities where you will be at the heart of stimulating projects, contributing to the improvement of our clients' practices while developing your professional skills. Your Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior auditor for various audit, review, compilation, and other certification engagements.
- Collaborate closely with senior auditors, junior auditors, and directors to ensure the quality and efficiency of engagements.
- Supervise intermediate auditors during engagements, ensuring the rigorous application of the firm's values and standards.
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, and other entities, demonstrating in-depth tax expertise.
- Actively participate in special assignments, providing innovative and tailored solutions to meet clients' specific needs.
- Contribute to employee evaluation and development by offering mentorship and constructive feedback to promote their professional growth.
- Actively participate in the business development of the office and expand the client base in the Outaouais region and the National Capital Region.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
- CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation obtained or in progress (enrolled in the CPA program).
- Minimum of two years of experience in an audit firm.
- Advanced experience and knowledge of IFRS and/or private company standards.
- Experience and proficiency in preparing Canadian tax returns for individuals and corporations.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS).
- Knowledge of Caseware, CaseView, and Taxprep software (an asset).
- Strong technical skills.
- Exemplary organizational and methodological abilities.
- Excellent communication, with marked proactivity and anticipation skills.
- Results-oriented with a strict adherence to budgets and deadlines.
- Integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Flexibility and mobility to travel across Canada.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English to interact effectively with all our clients in and outside Quebec.
