Our Head of Operational Resilience is responsible for supporting the General Manager Operational Risk and Assurance in implementing the BOQ Group approach to identifying and managing critical operations and business processes to ensure our organisation’s ability to prevent, adapt, respond to, recover, and learn from operational disruptions. In this role, you’ll collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure critical and other key operations operate within set tolerances and develop a systematic plan to test and learn from plausible scenarios. You’ll also develop strategies that align with regulatory requirements while addressing associated challenges and opportunities and adapt global best practices in operational resilience to the specific legal, cultural, and business environment in Australia. About you You are a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of operational resilience and risk management. You have a proven track record of collaborating with business stakeholders to develop and implement effective resilience strategies. Your ability to adapt global best practices to local contexts, coupled with your strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, makes you an ideal candidate for this role. You are passionate about ensuring that critical operations can withstand and quickly recover from disruptions, and you thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment. In addition to your strategic mindset, you possess excellent analytical skills, allowing you to identify potential risks and develop robust mitigation plans. You are an effective communicator, capable of conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences, and you excel in building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Your leadership experience enables you to guide and mentor teams, fostering a culture of resilience and continuous improvement. You are proactive, adaptable, and always looking for innovative solutions to enhance operational resilience.
